DANGER
Danger from electric current!
► Do not use the appliance if the mains
cable or mains plug is damaged.
► Do not open the housing of the ap-
pliance. Danger from electric current
if live connections are touched and/
or the electrical and mechanical
configuration is changed.
► Never immerse the appliance or the
mains plug in water or other liquids.
► Pull the plug out of the mains socket,
– before you fill the water tank with
water,
– if you are not using the appliance,
– if a malfunction occurs during op-
eration,
– before you clean the appliance.

► Never play with packaging material.

Danger of burns
► Do not touch the ironing sole during
use.
► Use the handle to hold the appliance
while it is in operation.
► Never point the appliance at per-
sons, particularly when using the
steam function.
► Never iron clothes while they are
being worn.
► Never put a hot appliance onto its
head or side, otherwise hot water
could run out. This does not apply
to deliberate emptying of the water
tank.
► Put the appliance on the pedestal
before inserting the plug into the
mains socket.
► Avoid contact with escaping water
or steam when emptying the water
tank and during self-cleaning of the
appliance.
► Before cleaning, allow the appliance
to cool down.
CAUTION
► Do not pull the connecting cable
to remove the plug from the mains
socket.
► Do not iron over zip fasteners, rivets,
buckles etc. in order to prevent dam-
age to the ceramic coating of the
iron sole.
► Occasionally wipe the iron sole with
with a damp cloth. Do not use abra-
sive cleaners!
► Store the appliance in an upright
position, not on the ironing sole.
