The devices may only be opened by trained personnel.
Electrostatically endangered components.
W
Installation/assembly and commissioning of the devices may only
be carried out in a voltage-free and pressure-free state by trained
and qualified specialists. Observe the installation position
described in the operating instructions.
W
In order to avoid accidents, electrical start-up is to be carried out
only in a pressure-free state.
W
Only start the devices after they are completely assembled as well
as correctly wired, and tested.
W
Plug connectors may not be plugged in or pulled out under load.
Switch off the power supply before connecting or disconnecting
plugs to avoid damaging the electrical parts.
W
In order to attain the correct protective class and be able to use all
the functions in the system, please take care that all seals are whole
and correctly placed.
W
The protection class can only be attained when all unused plug
connectors are closed accordingly (protective caps/blanking plugs).
W
Switches and configurations may not be changed during operation.
Changed settings are only accepted once the device has been
switched off and on again.

General

AVENTICS bus couplers make it possible to connect valves to a
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) using a fieldbus system. An
advantage of serial control is saving parallel output cards in the PLC and
necessary cabling.

The CAN Bus System

The real time and multimaster-capable CAN (Controller Area Network)
serial bus system, originally developed for the automotive industry, is
now also used in industrial automation. Depending on the transfer rate,
network extensions of 40 m at 1000 kBaud up to 1000 m at 50 kBaud
can be implemented.
As the physical transfer from CAN is similar to an open common
collector circuit, all participants that are ready to send can start their
transfer at the same time, provided there is an identifier (address) at the
