Setting into operation
Inserting Batteries into the Microphones
and Remote Control
1. For operation, the microphones require two 1.5 V AA batter-
ies. Remove the cover of the battery compartment and insert
two batteries as indicated in the compartment. With new bat-
teries, the microphones can be operated for approx. 13 hours.
2. The remote control of the audio player is supplied with a
battery inserted. An insulating foil between the battery and
the battery contacts prevents the battery from being dis-
charged during storage. Prior to the first operation remove
the foil from the battery support on the rear side of the re-
mote control. Otherwise operation of the remote control is
not possible.
If the range of the remote control decreases (3 meters as a
maximum), replace the battery. For this purpose, on the rear
side of the remote control press the small bar with the groove
to the right and al the same time remove the battery support.
3. If the devices are not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2
weeks), please remove the batteries to prevent damage in
case of battery leakage.
Danger of explosion when battery is re-
placed improperly. Only replace by the
same type. Please dispose of old and used
batteries properly. Batteries are hazardous
waste and should not be disposed of be
disposed of with regular domestic waste!

Switching on the Amplifier and the Wire-
less Microph ones
1. Insert the supplied antennas each into the BNC jack ANT
and put them in vertical position.
2. Prior to switching on, turn down the master control MAS-
TER LEVEL for the overall level to the left stop position to
avoid a possible switching-on noise.
3. If condenser microphones are connected, press the button
PHANTOM POWER to switch on a +14 V phantom power. The
control LED lights up red to indicate activation.
If the phantom power is switched on, no
microphones with unbalanced output
must be connected. Otherwise these mi-
crophones may be damaged. During the
stabilization phase (approx. 1 minute), you
must not change any connection.
To prevent switching noise, only actuate the
button PHANTOM POWER when the mixer is
switched off or when the master level con-
trol is set to minumum.
4. First switch on the connected audio sources, then the PA
system. The POWER indicator lights up. After
operation, switch off the PA system first.
5. To switch on the microphones, set each sliding switch to
its upper position "ON". The power indicator lights. If it fails
to light up, new bateries must be inserted. To mute a micro-
phone during operation, set the sliding switch to its center
postion "MUTE". Then no sound will be transmitted.
