Mode A or Mode B: In the absence of a sensor alarm, the control unit sends to the actuators the commands it
receives without having any influence over them.
Where an alarm is triggered by the sensor, the control unit stops the actuators or briefly reverses their direction,
depending on the operating modes set during installation (see the table on the previous page).
N.B.: for operation in combination with an EFC control unit, under the recommended settings, an open
command triggered by a fire alarm is still sent to the actuators irrespective of whether the EPS control unit is
in alarm status.
For
manual control, 1 input is provided per button
NOTE: External control unit commands always take priority over manual commands.
The system is fitted with an alarm signal (e.g. a self-powered external siren - part no. 40892C or equivalent). Inside
the control unit there is an LED which indicates the control unit status during installation or testing (see table).
Siren: any self-powered siren connected to the ALARM output is activated when an alarm is triggered by a sensor.
See the "ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS" diagram below.
• The electrical system has to comply with the current specifications.
• Before any action inside the control unit make sure the power supply is disconnected.
• The power supply must be fitted with an omnipolar disconnecting device (in accordance with CEI EN 60335-1).
• Any installation and/or maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Follow the indications shown in the "ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS" diagram.
