7. Close the battery cover. Slightly lubricate the seal with silicone
grease if necessary.
8. Slightly press down the battery cover so that it fits flush to the casing,
and tighten the screw (torque: max. 0.3 Nm, see page 5, Fig. G).
9. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with applicable regulations.
5.3.2

Replacing the earphones

To prevent premature wear the earphone should only be
removed if faulty.
1. Unfasten the screw using a Torx screwdriver (T8).
2. Disconnect the old earphone from the communication unit.
3. Place the new earphone straight onto the guide on the
communication unit.
Take care that the pins do not become bent (see page 7,
Figure O).
4. Tighten the screw (torque: 0.3 Nm).

Replacing the fastening eyes

1. Unfasten the screw using a Torx screwdriver (T8).
2. Remove the old fastening eye from the communication unit.
3. Attach and screw down new fastening eye on communication unit
(see page 7, Figure P).
4. Tighten the screw (torque: 0.3 Nm).

Dismantling the communication unit from the full face mask

1. Carefully loosen the fastening eyes from the visor frame without
the use of tools.
2. Detach the communication unit from the connection piece.
3. Fit the protective cap onto the full face mask.

Installing a firmware update

Firmware updates can be installed using the C7C configuration
software. Refer to the "Help" function in the C7C software for
additional information.

6 Transport
The communication unit can be transported in its original packaging.
Alternatively, it can be fitted onto the full face mask and transported
with the full face mask in a suitable transport box.

Storage

Store the communication unit in a dry, dust-free location. Keep away
from direct sunlight or heat radiation.

This product must not be disposed of as municipal waste.
This is indicated by the adjacent icon.
