No liability is accepted for damage or personal injury caused by any of the following:

Faulty assembly of the product
Conversions or modifications to the product made by the user that have not been
first approved in writing by Hymer-Leichtmetallbau
Overloading
Use despite visible damage
Failure to observe the instructions for use, accident prevention regulations or standards and directives
applicable at the location of use
External influences
4.6
Warning notices shall be affixed to projecting parts of the product or on adjacent structural elements that
could cause accidents.

Intended use
5.1
These products may only be used as an aid to ascending to working heights that are otherwise not
achievable.
5.2
The maximum loading (see symbol and point 6) and the maximum height (see assembly instructions and
pictogram) may not be exceeded or modified.
5.3
Stability shall be guaranteed taking local conditions into account (see point 6).
5.4
All the parts of the product supplied shall be fitted in accordance with the assembly instructions/assembly
drawing. Only original parts shall be used.
5.5
Any handrail provided shall be fitted in accordance with the assembly instructions/assembly drawing.
5.6
If this product is intended for wall or floor mounting, only Hymer-Leichtmetallbau fastening brackets may be
used. It shall be assembled using the correct fasteners, such as wall plugs. The installation shall be inspected
and approved by a specialist after it has been fastened.
5.7
If the product is height-adjustable, the manufacturer's specifications regarding securing the height adjustment
shall be observed.
5.8
Care shall be taken to ensure that all brakes are set on mobile versions of the product (except during
transport).
5.9
Where specified, extending stabilisers or outriggers and ballast shall be affixed in accordance with the
assembly instructions/assembly drawing.
5.10 According to DIN 1055 and DIN 18 065, these products are not approved for use in residential buildings.

Use
6.1
This product may only be used on a level, horizontal surface and firm ground. Use on
icy or slippery ground is not permitted.
6.2
It may not be used if it is not possible to guarantee safe ascent because of weather
conditions (e.g. ice, snow, wind speeds above 12 m/s) or dirt.
6.3
The maximum step load of 150 kg and total loading of 150 kg or 300 kg shall not be
exceeded. Bear separate instructions on the symbol in mind as appropriate.
6.4
Dynamic loads (e.g. seesawing, jumping etc.) are not permissible.
6.5
Be aware in your use of this product that it is electrically conducting. The operator of
the product shall avoid any possible hazard to persons from electricity. Users shall be
trained in this regard.
