MagicTouch MT350
Proceed as follows to solder two cables together (fig. 0, page 6):
➤
Strip the two cables (A).
➤
Place a shrink sleeve with a length of approx. 20 mm over one cable (B).
➤
Twist the cables together and solder them (C).
➤
Place a shrink sleeve over the soldered point and heat it briefly (D).
7.4
Earthing cables (fig. a, page 7)
This is how to connect a cable to earth:
➤
Strip 5 mm of the cable (A).
➤
Use a claw cable terminal of 6 mm in diameter and a crimp connection (B).
➤
Use a crimping tool to crimp the cable terminal to the end of the cable (C).
➤
Screw the cable terminal to an original earth point (D).
7.5
Attaching a flat plug to the cable (fig. b, page 7)
➤
Strip 5 mm of the cable (A).
➤
Use a suitable plug with a crimp connection (e. g. a flat push-on receptacle) (B).
➤
Use a crimping tool to crimp the cable terminal to the end of the cable (C).
➤
If necessary, use a plug connector with an insulating sleeve (D).

Connecting the radio receiver
➤
Connect the radio receiver in accordance with the relevant circuit diagram:
– Door contact, negative charge: fig. c, page 8
– Door contact, positive charge: fig. d, page 9
✓
Due to the connection to the indicators, the indicators light up once or twice (pro-
vided this is permitted by law).
Connecting to the central locking system
➤
Determine the switching function of the original central locking system.
You require the circuit diagram for the central locking system to do this. You can
obtain it from your vehicle dealership. chapter "Vehicle-specific data" on
page 53 includes the appropriate information for some vehicles.
If no original circuit diagrams are available and you cannot find your vehicle in
the table in chapter "Vehicle-specific data" on page 53, you will need to deter-
mine the function of the control cables that run from the control unit for the cen-
tral locking system to the vehicle doors.
Caution!
e
Only connect MagicTouch using the control cables of the central locking
system and not with other cables.
Connecting to other cables than the control cables or using an incorrect cir-
cuit plan can result in defects in the central locking system and the remote
control.
