TRACTION PEDAL NEUTRAL________________________________________________
1. If the mowe r "creeps" in ei ther direction when the
engine is r unning, but the tr action peda l i s no t
depressed, ad just s pring te nsion s o th at th e pe dal
always returns to neutral when released.
Note: The mower may "creep" when the hydraulic oil
is c old. O perate t he m ower for 15 mi nutes before
determining if adjustment is required.
2. Use ex treme ca ution wh en m aking thi s a djustment
as the wh eels wi ll be of f the ground and th e eng ine
will be running.
3. Engage p arking b rake, s top the en gine, open
hoods, then lubricate all linkage pivot points.
4. Chock the r ear wh eel, and pla ce the fr ont of th e
mower on jackstands.
5. Loosen a ll n uts ( N) a nd adjust r ear s pring t o
position traction arm in neutral.

TRACTION PEDAL FORWARD STOP _________________________________________
Loosen nuts (P) move the traction pedal to it s maximum
forward p osition. Adj ust s crew ( Q) unti l th e he ad j ust
touches th e traction pedal ar m. Retu rn traction pe dal to
neutral and turn screw (Q) out one full turn. Tighten nuts
(P).
Important: Screw (Q) must stop traction pedal before the
internal st ops in t he hy drostatic transmission ar e
contacted.

LIFT / LOWER PEDAL STOP_________________________________________________
Adjust bolts (R and S) to stop spool valve from hitting the
internal sto ps, while mai ntaining the full str oke of th e
spool.

(O).

engine and c heck for " creep" the n
repeat the process if necessary.
