If the AF symbol appears in the display, the AF func-
tion is switched on and RDS transmission data is
being received.

If the AF symbol fl ashes in the display, the AF func-
tion is selected but no RDS signal can be received
at the moment.
•
Press the A.F button again to switch off this func-
tion. The AF symbol in the display goes off.
14. ST/TA Button
a) Radio Operation
STEREO/MONO switching. Keep the ST/TA button
pressed down fur approximately 3 seconds.
b) TA Traffi c Announcement
(Priority for Traffi c Information)
The TA function is activated by pressing the ST/TA but-
ton briefl y. The TA symbol appears in the display.
If an UKW/FM station is being received which transmits
the latest traffi c announcements from time to time, the
TP display lights up.
When the TA function is switched on, the FM traffi c an-
nouncements automatically interrupt CD operation (The
word TRAFFIC appears in the display). The volume
level is increased to the minimum value for the transmis-
sion of traffi c announcements.
After the traffi c announcement has fi nished, the pro-
gramme that was previously running is resumed.
Interruption of the TA Function:
If you would like to interrupt the current traffi c announce-
ment, press the ST/TA button briefl y. The TA mode is
switched off as a result.
NOTE:
If no traffi c information is being received, „NO TP, TA"
appears briefl y in the display.
15. LCD (liquid crystal display)

Insert the CD with the labelled side facing upwards gently
into the CD slot until the device draws in the CD automati-
cally.

Press this button to eject the CD.

If this button is pressed briefl y several times, the

The display remains visible for approx. 5 seconds
before the device returns to the original display.
c) In order to set the time, keep the DISP button pressed
down fur approximately 3 seconds with the time
displayed. The time fl ashes in the display. Then press
the „-" button (2) in order to set the minutes, and the „+"
button (2) to set the hours. To store the time press the
DISP button again briefl y.

When the front control panel is removed this display fl ashes.
