1" USS bolt size. Rat i ng must be
down grad e d for spring U bolts,
tie bolts, long cap screws, double
depth nuts, badly rust e d condi-
tions and spring fas t en e rs as
they absorb much of the impact
power. When possible, clamp or
wedge the bolt to prevent spring-
back.
Soak rusted nuts in pen e t rat i ng
oil and break rust seal before
removing with im p act wrench.
If nut does not start to move in
three to five sec o nds, use a larger
size impact wrench. Do not use
impact wrench be y ond rated
ca p ac i t y as this will dras t i c al l y
reduce tool life.
