ground, snow) and in difficult, overgrown

as tree stumps, roots and ditches to

Before starting work,
inspect the area for
stones, glass, pieces of
metal, trash or other solid
objects. Such objects may
damage the attachment.
Do not use the dethatcher on gravel
surfaces.

To reduce the risk of injury from contact
with the attachment, never operate a
dethatcher without a properly mounted
deflector.
To reduce the risk of
injury, keep your hands
and feet well away from
the attachment.

Warning!
Never touch a rotating attachment with
your hand or any part of your body. The
attachment continues to rotate for a
short period after the throttle trigger is
released (flywheel effect).

Warning!
Do not operate using the starting throttle
lock as you do not have control of the
engine speed. See section of your
MultiEngine instruction manual on the
proper use of the slide control.
If the attachment or deflector becomes
clogged or stuck, always turn off the
engine and make sure the attachment
has stopped before cleaning. Grass,
moss, weeds, etc. should be cleaned off
the attachment as necessary.

Warning!
During operation, check the tightness
and the condition of the attachment at
regular intervals. If the behavior of the
attachment changes, stop the engine
immediately and check the attachment.
Replace bent, worn or damaged
attachments immediately. Such
attachments may shatter at high speed
and cause serious or fatal injury.
