NOTE
Tighten the nuts or bolts to a torque of 12 – 13 Nm. Loose con-
nections may cause overheating.
➤ Set the main switch (fig. 1 7, page 3) to "0f".
➤ Lay the positive cable (fig. 1 8, page 3) from the converter to positive
terminal of the battery and connect it.
➤ Lay the negative cable (fig. 1 9, page 3) from the converter to negative
terminal of the battery and connect it.
Connecting the output load to the converter
➤ Loosen the screw (fig. 4 2, page 4) in the positive terminal (fig. 4 5,
page 4).
➤ Push the cable lug (fig. 4 3, page 4) of the positive cable on the output
load into the positive terminal (fig. 4 5, page 4) and fasten it with the
screw (fig. 4 2, page 4) and the split washer (fig. 4 1, page 4).
➤ Connect the negative cable of the output load in the same way to the neg-
ative terminal (fig. 4 4, page 4).
Switching on the converter

NOTE
You can switch on the device via the vehicle supply using the
conection line (fig. 1 2, page 3):
Using the ignition (fig. 5 A, page 4)
Terminal 15: Connected positive terminal
Using an intermediate main switch (fig. 5 B, page 4)
In this case, leave the main switch (fig. 1 7, page 3) set to "0".
➤ Set the main switch (fig. 1 7, page 3) on the back of the converter to "1".

If you do not use the connection lead (fig. 1 2, page 3) insulate
it to prevent malfunctions.
