INSTALLATION - ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions below, to be carried out in the order in which they are numbered, refer to the figures (with the same step numbers) given on the last pages of
this manual.
IMPORTANT: The front panel comes in a different pack.
The hood cannot be installed and/or used without the front panel. Alternative front panels can be purchased as accessories.
IMPORTANT: It is advisable to install the hood before the side wall units.
1. Mark a line on the wall, up to the ceiling, corresponding to the centre line.
2. Place the template against the wall (fix it with adhesive tape): the vertical centre line printed on the template must match the centre line drawn on the
wall, and the bottom edge of the template must match the bottom edge of the hood.
IMPORTANT: Leave at least 50 cm for the front panel, between the top edge of the template and ceiling line
Make 4 holes as indicated.
3. Remove the template and fit the 4 plugs and 2 screws as indicated.
4. Tighten the 2 screws a little, leaving a space of about 5 mm.
5. For Extractor Version only - Make a Ø 16 cm hole in the ceiling for the flue pipe.
6. Remove the grease filter from the covering.
7. Remove the carbon filter from the covering.
8. Remove the 2 safety screws (for transport) and remove the hood from the outer covering.
9. Fix the collar to the exhaust outlet hole with 2 screws
10. Connect the flue pipe to the collar; the pipe must be run towards the outside (extractor version) or towards the deflector (filter version - pipe length 17 cm).
IMPORTANT: The flue pipe must be purchased separately and have an external diameter of not more than Ø 15.3 cm. It is advisable to use smooth pipes.
11. Filter Version only: Fix the deflector.
12. Hook the hood to the wall, between the previously fixed 2 screws (step 4) and secure it with 2 screws and 2 washers.
13. Adjust the position of the hood with a level.
IMPORTANT: The level is not supplied inside the hood packaging.
14. Tighten down the 4 screws fixing the hood to the wall.
15. Hook the outer covering to the hood: make sure the 4 slots in the covering match the side hooking screws of the hood. Secure the covering with 2 screws.
16. Carry out the motor and lights electrical connections.
IMPORTANT: Fit the front panel to the hood according to the instructions provided with the panel.
17. For Filter Version only: Install the carbon filter.
18. Refit the grease filter.
19. Fit the decorative front panel, supplied in a different pack, as follows:
a) Carefully take the panel with both hands and fix it just above the position of the middle logo.
b) Lift the panel and centre it on the hood structure, respecting: the alignment between the bottom part of the panel and that of the hood, and the
alignment between the position of the middle logo on the panel and the hood pushbutton panel under the structure.
c) Fixing the decorative panel on the structure: slide the two bottom pins of the panel into the two bottom slots in the structure;
d) Panel safety fixing: secure the panel to the hood structure with the two top screws.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the panel is fixed securely to the structure.
IMPORTANT: If the decorative panel has exposed front screws, they must not be removed by the customer.
Check hood operation, referring to the section giving a description of the hood and its use.
