Manual cleaning and disinfection by wiping
Observe the following points when selecting the wipes for cleaning and disinfection:
Fundamental suitability for the cleaning and disinfection of instruments made of metallic or plastic material

Approved efficiency (for example VAH/DGHM or FDA/EPA approval/clearance/registration or CE marking)

Compatible with the products (see chapter Material resistance)

Pay attention to the instructions of the wipe manufacturer regarding application and contact time.
Procedure:
1. The central handle of the articulated arm must be tightened during cleaning / disinfection.
2. Wipe all surfaces of the product completely and carefully with fresh wipes. Visibly dirty or
dry wipes must not be used further.
3. Check all surfaces for remaining visible contamination and wipe again by applying a fresh
wipe, if required.
4. Check the products (see chapters "Control" and "Maintenance").
5. Reassemble the product and wipe again using a fresh wipe.
DANGER!
The product will be delivered non sterile and is non-sterilizable. Prior to the initial and
each following use, the product has to be cleaned and disinfected as well as checked for
visual irregularities and malfunctioning according to the indications given in this manual.
ATTENTION!
Material damage due to improper cleaning and disinfection.
This product can be cleaned and disinfected only manually. The cleaning and
disinfection agents must be compatible with the product.
Metallic surface:
Use only cleaning and disinfection wipes. Never use metal brushes or steel wool.
Integral foam pad made of polyurethane:
Surface disinfectants containing a combination of the active ingredients quaternary
compounds and guanidine derivates are suitable.
Visco-elastic pads
Rinse with clean water and dry with soft fabric.
The following products are strictly forbidden:
- undiluted alcohol and / or acetone
- Perchlorethylene, Trichlorethylene and wax
- abrasive cleaning products
Mechanically damaged pads with tears and cuts have to be replaced with new pads to
avoid the entry of moisture (hygienic requirements no longer fulfilled).
WARNING!
Danger of explosion.
Alcohol containing agents form ignitable mixtures, which can explode if used together with
high-frequency applications.
Do not use alcohol containing agents together with high-frequency applications.
WARNING!
The articulated arm must not be sprayed directly with liquid or immersed in liquids.
The central handle of the articulated arm must be tightened during cleaning / disinfection.
