Setting power-saving mode / standby time
You can set the time required for the appliance to switch off automatically to
either 15 minutes or 30 minutes without pressing a button .
The appliance is switched off and the lever 1 is pressed down .
1) Press and hold the Espresso
quent flashing indicates which standby time is set .

30 minutes is set .
2) Press the Espresso button
standby times .
3) Once the desired standby time is set, press and hold the Lungo
button until both buttons flash so as to quit setting mode .
The appliance starts to heat up .
Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! Otherwise there is the risk of electric shock!

Never open any parts of the housing . There are no serviceable parts
whatsoever inside . When the housing is open, there is the risk of receiving
a potentially fatal electrical shock . This does not apply to the capsule
compartment .
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid! There is a
risk of fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with live
components during operation .

Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it . Risk of burns!
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents . These can attack the
surface and damage the appliance beyond repair .

Pull the capsule container 6 together with the drip tray 9 out of the appliance .
Then pull the capsule container 6 carefully forwards off the drip tray 9 .
Empty the capsule container 6 and drip tray 9 .
