Notes on achieving optimum drill results
Impulse-operate the valve at intervals for the supply of water to the drill crown and not by
continuous operation of the valve, in order to prevent the drilling cores and drilling core
remains from arresting.
In case the bore crown is blocked by drilling core remains all the same or the water flow rate
is impaired by drilling mud, the borehole must be pierced in the crown with the assistance
of a suitable aid (drilling core pusher or suitable wire).
Immediately remove any possible drilling cores and drilling core remains from the bore
crown each time after drilling before this becomes caked together.
Only use clean water (tap water) to fill the pressure tank.
Only use diamond drill bits that have been tested by ROTHENBERGER.
To some extent, commercially available diamond bore crowns from third-party
manufacturers feature excessive true-running inaccuracy. Problems arise for this reason
when starting up on damageable surfaces and in addition to these precision boreholes are
not possible.
