PERATION
MP3 Player Operation — Basic Playing
Due to a wide variety of conditions possible when creating an MP3 disc, some operational or sonic
"glitches" may occur. These should be considered normal and do not indicate a defect with the unit.
NOTE: This unit does not recognize MP3 CDs created on a Macintosh.
NOTE: This unit recognizes MP3s recorded on either CD-R or CD-RW discs, with support for
multi-session as well.. The unit will not play MP3 encoded DVD-R discs. Only use CD-R or
CD-RW for MP3 recording.
NOTE: Playability may depend on the type of CD-R/CD-RW used, CD surface condition, CD writer
performance and condition and/or software used. For more information, visit our web site.
NOTE: Depending on the format, the number of songs contained and other variables, some discs
may take longer to load than others.
To Play an MP3 Disc
1. Press OPEN button and the Front Panel will slide open.
2. Insert an MP3 disc and the Front Panel will slide close and LOADING will be displayed on the
panel.
3. DISC PLAY will auto-select and the MP3 disc will begin playing track 1 after loading.

Negotiating the MP3 Directory
Negotiating MP3 is easier when using the Joystick control on the remote in conjunction with the
video screen.
CAUTION: To prevent accidents, never use the video screen to view DVDs or make

menu selections while driving the vehicle.
Song Playlist
When the MP3 disc is installed, this unit looks at the songs, folders and subfolders contained to
create an ordered playlist file of all the songs on the disc in the following manner;
1. First songs listed are those not in folders on the disc.
2. Then songs located in the first folder on the disc and then any songs located in folders
within this folder (sub-folders).
3. It will then look to the next folder and sub-folder(s) and so forth, until all the songs on the
disc have been identified.
4. The standard playlist screen will appear showing the number of tracks on the CD, a page of
seven (7) of the tracks, title of song being played, Directory of where the song is located on
the disc, the song's track number and time (either elapsed time, time left or track length
depending on default selected).
