Various factors influence the service life
of trimmer discs. Particularly in the case
of diamond-coated discs, an adequate
water supply is very important. Overhea-
ting will result in damage to the trimmer
disc.
Never use the trimmer discs to grind
metal. Muffle rings, pins, and retention
rings, etc. can also damage trimmer
discs. Investments contain extremely ab-
rasive components that will significantly
shorten the disc's service life.
5.2. Adjusting the Water
Volume
The water volume can be individually adjusted at the
reduction valve (Figure 13).
5.3. Adjusting the Trimmer
Table
The standard delivery includes two tables:
• Table 1 = 90° (Figure 16);
• Table 2 = 98° (Figure 17).
To adjust the trimmer table:
1. Loosen the locknut (Figure 7-a).
2. Precise adjustment (Figure 7-b):
- Clockwise – Increases the table angle;
- Counter clockwise – Decreases the table angle.
3. Retighten the locknut (Figure 7-a).
6. Cleaning / Maintenance
Always unplug the unit from the mains
power supply before performing any
cleaning or maintenance tasks.
Regularly inspect the power cord and
water hoses for damage or aging.
Damaged power cords or hoses must be
replaced before the unit can be used
again.
6.1 Weekly Cleaning Tasks
A clean drain line and clean water supply are vital to
the trimmer's proper function. The unit should there-
fore be cleaned at least once every week.
1. Switch the unit off (Figure 15), unplug the power
cord, and turn off the water (Figure 11-b).
2. Open the front door (Figure 1 + 2) and take it off
its hinges (Figure 18).
3. Using a brush, clean under running water.
4. Reinstall the front door, making sure the spacers
on the hinge bolt are installed (Figure 18).
5. Close the front door.
6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6.2 Replacing the Trimmer
Disc
1. Switch the unit off (Figure 15), unplug the power
cord, and turn off the water (Figure 11-b).
2. Open the front door (Figure 1 + 2).
3. Remove the spray pipe (Figure 19).
4. Remove the protective cap covering the centring
screw and use the SW4 Allen key included in the
accessories pack to turn the screw counter clock-
wise and loosen it, (Figure 20).
5. Remove the trimmer disc (Figure 21).
6. Clean the retainer flange as required (refer to the
following section).
7. Install the new trimmer disc (Figure 3).
8. Make sure the locking pins are properly seated in
the retention holes (Figure 3).
9. Using the Allen key, turn the centring screw clock-
wise to tighten it (Figure 4).
10. T urn the disc by hand to make sure it is running
true (Figure 5); If the disc exhibits large variations
in height:
• remove it;
• turn it 180°;
• reinstall it.
11. I nstall the covering cap on the centring screw
(protection against contamination).
12. M ount the spray pipe on the water inlet (Figure 6).
13. C lose the front door.
14. P lug the unit's power cord into the wall outlet.
6.3 Replacing / Cleaning the
Retainer Flange
1. Switch the unit off (Figure 15), unplug the power
cord, and turn off the water (Figure 11-b).
2. Open the front door (Figure 1 + 2).
3. Remove the spray pipe (Figure 19).
4. Remove the protective cap covering the centring
screw and use the SW4 Allen key included in the
accessories pack to turn the screw counter clock-
wise and loosen it (Figure 20).
5. Remove the trimmer disc (Figure 21).
6. Using the SW8 Allen key included in the accesso-
ries pack, turn the setbolt clockwise (Figure 22).
7. The retainer flange is pushed off the motor shaft
(Figure 22).
8. Remove the retainer flange (Figure 23).
9. Clean the retainer flange and the trimmer
chamber.
Do not allow any water to enter the motor
through the motor shaft opening.
10. R emove the setbolt from the retainer flange
thread.
11. Apply a thin coating of grease (refer to the
accessories) to the motor shaft and rubber seal
(Figure 24).
12. P ush the setbolt onto the motor shaft, making sure
the carrier aligns with the carrier groove
(Figure 25).
13. R einstall the trimmer disc as previously described.
