5.3
Cleaning the filter
In order to ensure maximum suction power, the extraction unit is equipped with a device for cleaning the
filter of the fine filter unit. Cleaning the filter takes approx. 8 seconds.
en
The filter is cleaned:
• Every time the unit is switched on
• If there is insufficient suction power (flow rate falls below an internal limit value)
• Before removing the dust drawer when prompted to empty it (see Chap 62)
If the flow rate falls below an internal limit value for more than 1 minute, the extraction process is inter-
rupted, and the filter is cleaned:
⇒ Limit value has not been reached:
♦ Suction turbine is stopped
♦ The filter is cleaned. Cleaning the filter takes approx. 8 seconds and is indicated by an acoustic signal.
♦ Suction turbine is started again
If the flow rate drops again after automatic filter cleaning, the filter is only cleaned again after the
turbine has been running for two hours.
6
Cleaning / Maintenance
The unit does not contain any internal parts that require maintenance.
Opening the unit is not permitted other than as described below!
6.1
Cleaning
To clean the unit, only wipe the outside with a damp cloth Do not use any solvent-based or abrasive
cleaning agents
6.2
Emptying the dust drawer
After a set time interval is reached (see Chap 621), you are
prompted to empty the dust drawer:
♦ An acoustic signal sounds three times
♦ The dust drawer display (24, Fig 2) lights up
The next time the extraction unit comes to a stop, an acoustic
signal sounds three times after which the filter is cleaned.
Once the filter has been cleaned:
⇒ Release the clamp fastener (4A) of the dust drawer
⇒ Pull the dust drawer (4) out towards the front
⇒ Remove the retaining ring (14, Fig 1)
⇒ Close, remove, and dispose of the waste bag
During disposal, observe local provisions and accident pre-
vention regulations!
Personal protective equipment must be worn depending on
the extracted material.
⇒ Place a new waste bag through the retaining ring and fold the
ends over the retaining ring
⇒ Place the waste bag with the retaining ring in the dust drawer
The retaining ring is held in the dust drawer using magnets
Ensure that the waste bag:
- Fits against the side walls of the dust drawer;
- Does not cover the sealing surface
⇒ Insert the dust drawer again and push it all the way in
⇒ Close the clamp fastener (4A)
⇒ Press the Enter key (25) The counter for recording the time
interval is reset
♦ An acoustic signal confirms your input.
♦ The dust drawer display (24) switches off.
If the dust drawer is not emptied, the dust drawer display (24,
Fig. 8) remains lit up. After switching the unit on and off, an acoustic signal sounds three times
again to indicate that the dust drawer must be emptied.
In the case of heavy extracted material (e.g., zirconia dust), 2 waste bags are recommended (bag-
in-bag solution) for safe removal and safe transport.
Only use original Renfert waste bags (see Accessories).
