SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

To avoid damaging the scale when unpacking it, do not use a box cutter, knife, scissors or
any sharp object to open the protective inner packaging. Remove scale from the carton and
unwrap packing material carefully, to prevent scratching the unit. Set the carton aside for
storage.
Battery Instructions
The scale is shipped with batteries already installed. Before first use, you must remove the pull
tab located within the battery compartment tab. The battery compartment is located on the
underside of the scale. To replace the batteries, follow these steps.
1. To open the battery cover, push the battery compartment tab to the right and lift upwards.
Note: You do NOT need to remove any screws to open the battery compartment.

2. To remove the batteries, press upward on the white
tab that is holding the battery. Moving the tab will
loosen the battery so it can be removed. Remove
both batteries and replace with two new 3V Lithium
(CR2032) batteries. Follow the battery illustration to
ensure the batteries are inserted with the + side
facing up.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding the end of the
cover into the battery compartment. Then push down on the tab
and compartment to ensure the battery cover is firmly attached.
Selecting the Weight Mode (Kilograms/KG, Pounds/LB, or Stones/ST)
1. To select the weight mode, turn the scale over to access
the weight mode switch.
2. Slide the switch to the desired weight mode.
3. The far left position is for Kilograms. Center position is for
Pounds. The far right position is for Stones.
Connectivity Option on 844KL
