Putting into Operation
The unit operates optimally with a pressure of 6.3 bar
(90 psi) measured at the air inlet with the unit running.
Before connecting units with lever start to the air
supply, operate the lever 7 several times.
Switching On / Off
If the unit does not start, e.g. after not being used for
a longer time, disconnect the air supply and turn the
tool holder 11
by hand. Adhesive forces are
eliminated in this manner.
For an interruption of the air supply or reduced
operating pressure, switch off the machine.
Check the operating pressure and start again
when the pressure returns to normal.
Switching on:
Press the lever 7.
When the torque setting for the
screwing operation is reached, the
screwdriver disengages until the
lever 7 is released.
Switching off:
Release lever 7.
By prematurely releasing the actuating lever
(lever start) or relieving the pressure on the
tool (thrust start), the preset torque is not
achieved.
Working Instructions
Before performing any work on the unit itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Setting the Torque
(Picture
and
)
A
B
Turn the protective sleeve 10 until a slot is visible in
the housing.
Turn the tool holder 11 with a 1/4" Allen key until a
half-round cut-out in the adjustment disk 13 is
visible.
Insert the adjustment tool 12 in the cut-out.
Turning in the clockwise direction results in a higher
torque, in the counter clockwise direction, a lower
toque.
Remove the adjustment tool. Turn the protective collar
until it can be heard to latch.
Caution!
For soft bolting actions, the clutch no longer
ratchets even for low torque settings.
After the adjustment
Adapt the torque by means of trial boltings for the
specific bolting action (hard, middle, soft). Check the
torque with an electronic torque measuring instrument
or a torque wrench.
Type of Clutch
In Right Rotation
The machines have torque-dependent
switch-off clutches that can be
adjusted over a wide range.
respond when the adjusted torque is
reached.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
With a clamping device in the area 8, this counter
force can more easily be counteracted.
In Left Rotation
When loosening bolts, a ratcheting
clutch is active that functions until the
lever 7 is released.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
With a clamping device in the area 8, this counter
force can more easily be counteracted.
Reversing Rotational Direction
Rotation to the right:
Do not press the shift button 5 or release a
depressed shift button by turning again.
Rotation to the left:
Press the shift button 5. To latch, lightly turn the
depressed shift button.
