PIERCING – HOW TO PIERCE AND START A
CUT AWAY FROM AN EDGE IN WORKPIECE
1. Position torch tip at the desired pierce
location. Tilt the torch toward one side about
30°- 45° with tip resting against the workpiece.
See Figure 9.
2. Pull trigger to start flame.
3. While holding the trigger on, rotate the torch
to a normal 90° cutting position.
See Figure 10.
4. When the flame pierces the workpiece,
proceed with cutting the desired cutting path.
