Focus the Camera — DSC Mode
For taking pictures in the Digital Still Camera Mode, set the focusing ring on the camera
to the mountain icon. Sharp focus extends from two feet (61 centimeters) to infinity.
Use this setting for nearly all of your photographic needs whether the camera is being

For macro photography, or for pictures of small objects (like business cards) at a very
close distance, move the focusing ring to the flower icon. At this setting, the camera can
take pictures of subjects about four inches or ten centimeters away.
When the focusing ring is between the flower and mountain icons, the depth of sharp
focus is only about three feet, or one meter.
A warning LED on the back of the camera near the view finder will alert you when
the focus is not set in "mountain" mode.
Use the view finder to frame your subject.
Auto Exposure/White Balance
The camera has an auto-exposure function to determine proper exposure.

you an optimal exposure.
Note When taking pictures or making videos, avoid subjects of extreme contrast that
