Counter- -blade adjustment
To cut the net, the counter--blade, re. 3 fig. 6, must be
adjusted to work as a locator for the knife, re. 2.
Lift the catch, re. 5 fig. 11, to release the knife that,
drawn by springs, re. 5 fig. 6, stops when it touches
the counter--blade, re. 3 fig. 6.
If the knife doesn't lay correctly on all its length, pro-
ceed as follows:
--
loosen the screws, re. 6 fig. 10.
--
Carry out the same operation on the opposite
side.
--
Adjust the counter--blade position by the set
screws, re. 7 fig. 10.
--
At the end of the adjustment, tighten the set
screw, re. 7, and the fastening screws, re. 6, on
both sides.
Regularly check the conditions of the knife, sharpen
or replace it if necessary.
NOTE: check the counter- -blade adjustment after
each knife sharpening or replacement.
Net knife reset device
The knife reset is operated by the mechanisms
shown in figures 10 and 12: whenever the tailgate
opening is controlled, the link rod, re. 1, fig. 12, oper-
ates the lever, re. 2, fig. 12, fastening again the two
catches, re. 1, fig. 10, as shown.
Adjust the spring pressure on the link rod, re. 1, fig.
12, through the nut, re. 5, so that, opening the tail-
gate, the catches, re. 1, fig. 10, engage as described,
paying attention not to compress the spring too much
and keeping a clearance between the catches by 5±2
mm, so that they can be coupled.
Pick- -up balancing spring adjustment
The pick--up weight on the ground can be adjusted by
the springs: re. 4 fig. 28, for the left side and re. 3 fig.
30 for the right side, depending on the ground condi-
tions and on the harvesting speed.
Your machine is a vanguard product, with sophisti-
cated electronic controls.
Though any precaution has been taken not to dam-
age electrical fittings and components, the pressure
generated by some pressure washing machines
cannot guarantee a total protection against water
leaks.
While harvesting on flat and well prepared grounds,
at a high speed, it is advisable to leave the above
springs a bit loose.
Working on uneven ground, at slow or reduced
speed, it is advisable to tension the springs: re. 4 fig.
28, for the left side, and re. 3 fig. 30, for the right side,
so that the pick--up weight is supported a bit, to pre-
vent sudden bumps against the ground.
NOTE: forGA FB 12 model there is only one pick- -up
balancing spring, located on the right side.
Round baler rotation cut- -off device adjustment,
fig. 30
--
Open the tailgate (engage the safety catches --
see fig. 23).
--
Loosen the lock--nut, re. 4, and the screw, re. 5,
until getting a clearance by 6±2 mm as shown in
the figure. At the end of the adjustment, tighten
the nut, re. 4.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Tailgate closing relief valve adjustment
As described in section 2, page 8, if the bales are
made setting a pressure lower than 120 bar, the relief
valve calibration must be reduced. The new calibra-
tion prevents automatic wrapping cycles due to the
adjustment of the density pressure lower than the
tailgate closing control circuit one.
Proceed as follows:
--
operate the tailgate closing by the tractor hy-
draulic control.
--
Loosen the lock--nut of the hydraulic valve, re. 4
fig. 5; turn the inner screw until getting a pressure
lower by about 10 bar than the pressure to be
used.
NOTE: the envisaged pressure for this valve is 120
bar; this adjustment should be carried out only if
really required. Restore the original adjustment
as soon as feasible.

MACHINE CLEANING

While using a high pressure washing machine, do
not stand next to the machine and avoid sending the
water jet on the components and the electrical fit-
tings, the vents, the seals, the filling plugs, etc...
