Start-up
The system should be started up after completing the
connections. Proceed with the following operations:
1 Take the SIM card to be used in the LINK-GSM
module and place it in the mobile phone. Change
the card's PIN to 3830.
2 Remove the SIM card with the PIN changed to 3830,
and place it in the LINK-GSM module as indicated in
the section "Installing the SIM card".
3 Connect the power supply and wait for the SIM card
to register in the network.
NOTE: for safety reasons, the module changes
the PIN for the SIM card. For this reason, if the SIM
is removed and placed elsewhere, the PIN to be used
will be unknown, meaning the SIM will be blocked
(after three failed attempts) and the PUK will be
required to unlock it.
4 The telephone number for the SIM card inserted in
the GSM module should be saved with an easily
recognisable name in the telephone to be used to
administer the system. In the example, the telephone
number of the SIM card inserted in the GSM module
has been saved with the name LINK-GSM.

5 Send the administrator registration message:
ALTA-nº tel-ADMIN-0000
The message must be sent from the administrator's
mobile telephone, i.e. 656XXXXXX must be the
telephone number used to send the message.
Up to a maximum of 5 administrators can be entered
initially. They can be introduced one by one, up to 5,
or all five at the same time.
6 Wait for the registration response message:
reg-admin
7 When the module uses a SIM with voice + data tariff,
lists of users can be obtained by email (as explained
in page 31), by sending a new message with the
following text (case sensitive, as indicated):
APN:"movistar.es"
USER:"MOVISTAR"
PASS:"MOVISTAR"
TEL:"650XXXXXX"
The fields APN, USER, PASS and TEL depend on the
operator and the telephone number of the SIM card
used in the module.
