Changing the oven light

The oven light is a standard 40-watt appliance halogen bulb. It comes on when the oven
door is open. When the oven door is closed, touch LIGHT to turn the light on or off. It will
not work during a self-cleaning cycle.
CAUTION
Before changing your oven light, disconnect the electrical power to the oven at the main
fuse or circuit breaker panel. Make sure the oven and the halogen bulb are cool.

1. Open the oven door and remove the
racks from inside the oven.
2. The oven lamp is in both sides of the
oven cavity. Hold the lower end of the
cover of the lamp with one hand, and
use flat-sharp tool such as a table knife
to remove the cover.
3. Remove the oven light bulb.
4. After replacement, install oven light
cover.
NOTE
Use rubber gloves to handle halogen
lamps. Hand oil shortens the life of a
halogen bulb.
5. When done, replace the glass cover,
and then reinstall the rack supports.
