When using the utility software.

Connect the camera to a personal computer. (p. 152)

Start up the utility software.

Once the program has been loaded, select "Camera
Setting" from the menu bar. The camera settings window
appears.

Set the date and time as indicated in the camera settings
window.
* For exact information on how to use the utility software,
refer to the online manual provided with the software.
Note:
Be sure to set the date, regardless of whether or
not the date is to be printed.
The adjusted date is canceled when the camera
is left without batteries for approx. one hour
(based on our tests). In such a case, adjust the
date again.
We recommend that you check the date and time
before taking important pictures.
