cleaning
Set the instruments in
the kit, and put them
in:
A) an ultrasonic
washing device
or
B) a washing
machine.
10
Follow instructions and obs-
erve concentrations given by
the manufacturer (an exces-
sive concentration may cause
cracks on instruments).
Observe time of immersion.
Do not use products contai-
ning Phenol.
Instruments made of NiTi:
Do not soak more than 5
minutes in a solution of
NaOCI at more than 5%.
In the case any dentine tis-
sues are still present on the
instrument, use an Air-Flow-
device.
Follow instructions and obs-
erve concentrations given by
the manufacturer. After 5
cycles, degradation of mar-
king may appear.
Do not clean the instruments
in bulk with an ultrasonic
device.
X
Instruments in aluminium :
Do not use caustic soda nor
solutions with mercury salt
nor acid (pH < 6) or alkaline
(pH > 8) solutions. If dentine
tissues are not totally remo-

Rinsing
Rinse the instruments
thoroughly with clean,
demineralised or dis-
tilled water and then
dry them.
