used only for the purpose it was explicitly
designed for. The rating plate is located on
the left side, behind the electrical board.

5. SETTING UP THE APPLIANCE

5.1. POSITIONING REQUIREMENTS
These ironers need no particular positioning
requirement but a flat floor. Being front-
service type, they may even be placed against
a wall, provided that a 15 cm space is left in
between.
Level the appliance by its adjustable feet and
resting a level tool on its uprights. Check that
the weight is uniformly distributed on the
feet and that the machine does not rock.
Repeat levelling after displacing the appli-
ance.
* The automatic circuit breaker must be
placed in such a position as to be easily
reached by the operator in case of an
EMERGENCY (maximum distance 3 m).
5.2. SPACE REQUIRED FOR INSTAL-
LATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE
The machine must be allowed the minimum
space shown in figure 1 and a minimum 15
cm distance from the wall.

The appliance must be installed by qualified
personnel, following the manufacturer's in-
structions and in compliance with the local
standards for electric systems in force in the
relevant country. The manufacturer disclaims
any responsibility for harm to persons, ani-
mals or property arising from wrong instal-
lation.
Check that power supply voltage corresponds
to the values appearing on the rating plate of
the ironer. Voltage variations must not ex-
ceed ±10% of the rated value.
IMPORTANT:
IT IS COMPULSORY TO CONNECT
THE APPLIANCE TO EARTH.
In accordance with the latest safety stan-
dards, the appliance is provided with an
outer terminal for equipotential connection.
It is necessary to install an automatic multi-
polar circuit breaker on the electric supply
line ahead of the machine. Contact spacing
must be no smaller than 3 mm. This discon-
necting switch must be adjusted according
to maximum electrical input (see rating plate
data and table below):

6.2. COMPLETE RANGE OF APPLICA-
TIONS
This roller ironer has been designed to iron,
wool, cotton, linen, silk and different types
of synthetic fabrics. Set the appropriate op-
erating temperature using the SET button
and according to the instructions provided in
this booklet.
6.3. INFORMATION ON THE ELEC-
TRICAL INSTALLATION
The electrical system contained in the appli-
ance is composed of safety and control de-
vices that are mounted onto an appropriate
plate, on the left side of the ironer (seen from
the rear). Diagrams and part lists may be
found further on in this booklet.
6.4. CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY
The ironer described in the present manual
complies with the following directives:

7. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
7.1. OPERATION (see fig. 1)
Bring the basin up its rest position by push-
ing the pedal. Tie it up in this position using
the appropriate knob.
Energise the appliance using the circuit
breaker on the wall.
-
from the moment the machine is con-
nected with the electrical mains and is
supplied power, the STOP button yel-
low light is on (switch-off push button
"O", position 2 of figures 1 and 3). This
means that the electrical and electronic
parts of the machine are energised.
-
Switch the appliance on by pushing the
START button "I" position 1 of figures
1 and 3). The green warning light will
go on to indicate that the machine is on.
