Installation
It is essential to follow these instructions carefully in the process
of installing the equipment. Any installation that does not meet
these requirements will not meet the necessary conditions to
cover the equipment under warranty in case of breakdown.
The installation of the equipment should only be done by specialized
personnel.
The regulator is totally isolated. This means that there is insulation between
the positive and negative poles, the wind turbine terminals and the chassis.
There are no connections between any of these points. So the positive and
negative poles of continuous (of the batteries) must be totally isolated from
the input phases of the wind turbine, from the ground of the installation,
phase and neutral of inverters, etc. In short they must be totally isolated
poles.
If you put some kind of busbar, you have to respect that the sections are
adequate and not cascade equipment. It is advisable to install the regulator
directly to batteries. For the selection of the wiring, the section tables in the
annex Sections and Wiring must be respected. If you want to install a busbar,
you must respect the section of each of the equipment to calculate the total
section of the busbar.
The installation must have a good ground installation. The regulator chassis
must be connected to that same earth ground to put it at the same potential
as inverters and other equipment. The grounding wire of the regulator must
be at least 6mm2.
If there is a fuel generator in the installation, the earth ground of the same
does not need to be at the same point as the Wind + regulator. It is even
recommended that it be different.
