2.5 Installing RPA455xx in Hazardous Area Zone 2

Hazardous Area Zone 2
RPA455xx is designed for use in hazardous area Zone 2. Choose one of the following two
wiring solutions to install RPA455xx.
FM Approved ACPS455xx Cable Power Supply

Solution 1: Wiring for power input and RS232 communications

2.6 Levelling

The scale should be perfectly horizontal to ensure consistent, reproducible weighing
RPA455xx
results. Relevel the scale each time its location is changed.
Please note that all metrological approved scales are providing a levelling bubble.
➜ Turn the adjustable feet until the level bubble is within the ring marking.

2.7 Warming Up

➜ Warm up the scale for at least 30 minutes after initial connection to the USB Power
and Data Barrier.
▲ Doing so allows the scale to reach the required operating temperature and,
consequently, deliver accurate weighing results.
