Before proceeding with the operations indicated below, always switch off the
main switch (1 Fig. 1) and check the chamber cools.
Use is forbidden of hydrochloric acid and detergents containing chlorine to clean any part
of the autoclave.
- Cleaning the sterilisation chamber and the accessories inside
Check: Monthly or every 50 cycles.
Use a soft cloth soaked in water so that the protective surface treatment of the chamber is
not damaged. Rinse with plenty of water and, at the end of the operation, dry. If necessary,
dampen the cloth with white vinegar to remove any limescale.
You are however advised to clean the chamber only if strictly necessary.
If limescale deposits are present, immediately check what is causing them. The formation of
white patches at the bottom of the chamber means poor quality water is being used or water
with incorrect characteristics compared to those required.
- Porthole cleaning
Check: Daily or every 5 cycles.
Use a soft cloth soaked in water to avoid damaging the protective treatment of the porthole.
