INSTALLATION
INTENDED PURPOSE
This two-column electric car lift enables easy and convenient
lube jobs, oil-changes and wheel-change operations to be perfor-
med, while allowing work to be carried out underneath the vehicle
in a space which is completely free of obstacles.
Installation in premises with a ceiling height of less than the lif-
ting height plus the vehicle height is not recommended, nor
should these lifts be used out-of-doors or in areas where fire or
explosion hazards are present due to the handling of inflammable
products.
BASE ASSEMBLY
The area intended for installation of the lift must be comple-
tely level and offer sufficient resistance to withstand the maxi-
mum load to be placed on the lift.
The floor on which the lift is to be installed must also offer
sufficient resistance to withstand the lateral pressure of the
anchor bolts without cracking.
Concrete floors should have a minimum thickness of 130mm
and offer a resistance of 250-350 Kp/cm
Once the exact location for assembly has been chosen, place
the base of the lift in position to mark off the holes for the anchor
bolts. (Fig. 1)
Drill holes 120mm deep on the anchor bolt sites using a 20
mm diameter bit. (Fig. 2-A).
Centre the base over the holes and press in the anchor bolts.
(Fig. 2-B).
To fix the base to the floor, tighten the anchor bolts to a torque
of Mo = 8 m. Kp.
COLUMN AND SAFETY CABLE ASSEMBLY
Connect the drive column marked with an "A" to the outer end
of the base by carrying out the following operations:
1.- Loop the safety cable through the protection tube of the base.
2.- Before bolting down the drive column, tip it to one side and
mount the chain on pinion Ref. 2537400 (Fig. 3)
3.- Bolt the drive column down tightly using bolts Ref. 2539200.
Utilize the 5 screws used in the packaging.
4.- Repeat the same operation with the driven column marked
with a "B", ie, loop the safety cable through the protection
tube on the base, tip to one side and mount chain onto pinion
and fix column to base.
Loop the chain through the automatic tensing device (Fig.4)
and remove bolt Ref. 0501800 holding the safety spring. This bolt
is only required during transport (Fig. 5).
Join the safety cables from both columns to the coupling
clamp Ref. 0717000 and tighten bolts Ref. 0537100 (Fig. 5). The
lever of the safety switch must remain horizontal.

CONTROL BOX ASSEMBLY
Remove the control box cover (Fig. 6).
Mount the control box on the protection cover of the drive
column using screws and washers Ref. 0467500 and 0876800.
3-PHASE AND SINGLE-PHASE CONNECTIONS
Connect the multicore electrical cable from the control box to
the junction box on the motor. (Fig. 7). See electrical diagram.
CONNECTION TO 3-PHASE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
2
A 4 x 1.5 mm
multicore cable (3 F + PE) is recommended.
Follow the indications on the electrical diagram.
The service cable should be connected to terminals L1, L2
and L3 on connector strip Q1 inside the control box. Connect the
ground wire to the screw marked PE (Fig. 8).
VERY IMPORTANT
Lifts leave the factory for connection to a 380 V mains supply.
Should a voltage change be required, the transformer T1 wiring
and the motor connection box wiring must be changed as indica-
ted in Fig. 7.
CONNECTION TO SINGLE-PHASE
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
2
A 3 x 1.5 mm
multicore cable is recommended. Follow the
indications on the electrical diagram.
The service cable should be connected to terminals L1 and N
on connector strip Q1 inside the control box. Connect the ground
wire to the screw marked PE (Fig. 9).
IMPORTANT: The use of protective fuses is recommen-
ded on the mains supply line, as indicated in the electrical
diagrams.
LIFTING ARM ASSEMBLY AND LOCKING DEVICE
Mount the lifting arms on the carriages as shown in Fig.10-A
or 10-B, depending on model type.
Raise to approximately 1.5m and mount the locking systems
onto the lower part of arms (Fig. 11).
Fix protectors Ref. 1443200 to the carriage using bolts, was-
hers and nuts Ref. 0300700, 0303200 and 0147200.
ADJUSTMENT OF SPINDLE NUTS
The distance between the main nut and the safety nut
(Fig.12) is factory regulated at 25mm approximately.
