Warning
To prevent accidental start-up, shut off the engine and remove the
ignition key before performing any type of engine maintenance.
Periodic inspection and adjustment of the engine is essential if high
level performance is to be maintained. Regular maintenance will also
ensure a long service life. The required service intervals and the type
of maintenance to be performed are described in the table above.
Follow the hourly or calendar intervals, whichever occur first. More
frequent service is required when operating in adverse conditions.
Changing engine oil
The engine oil should be changed after the first five hours of use and
then once a season or after every 50 hours of use.
NOTE: Check the oil level before each use and after every five hours
of operation to be sure the correct oil level is maintained. Refer to
Checking Oil Level in the Operation Section.
1.
Drain fuel from the tank by running the engine until the fuel tank is
empty. Be sure the fuel fill cap is secure.
2.
Place a suitable oil collection container under the oil drain plug.
