MAINTENANCE

The water, when evaporating, can leave mineral salt residues, basically of lime. If you wish to recov-
er the Explorer original look, it is convenient to clean the interior with a cloth dampened in vinegar,
or add a few drops of vinegar when the water is boiling.
You must check the state of the plastic tube, given that constant use in proximity with heat could
deteriorate it.

PRECAUTIONS

A. NEVER leave the device to dry out when it is
over a flame. It will break inevitably.
B. NEVER undo the screws on the base. The
thermoelectric plates located inside will be ir-
reversibly damaged.
C. NEVER immerse the device in water. Al-
though the base is airtight, the joint could suf-
fer fracture when being submitted to high tem-
peratures and allow the filtering of water, which
will damage the electrical components.
D. DO NOT cool down suddenly, by either im-
mersing the base in water or pouring ice or cold
water inside.
E. Avoid that the flames surpass the edge of
the recipient. This, apart from being a waste of
combustible, it reduces the efficiency of the
machine and shortens its autonomy.
F. Do not allow the connector cable to be in
contact with the flame. Although it is made of
fireproof material, its resistance to fire is limited
and the generated heat from a flame will melt
the plastic protection of the cables inside.
G. Do not use dirty recipients or water with im-
purities for the automatic filling system. Also,
avoid the plastic tube to be in contact or near
the heat source. It is convenient to attach a
weight to the tip of the tube to keep it at the
bottom of the external recipient.
H. The user must check that the combustion
system follows the pertinent regulations.
