Starting the sintering process

6.2.1

Preparations for the sintering

▷ Fill the sintering pearl mixture completely into
the sintering bowl.
The sintering pearl mixture consists of sintering
pearls and a bright, white-grey powder.
▷ Carefully shake/mix the pearls and powder to
distribute them uniformly, so that the powder is
completely covered by the sintering pearls.
▷ Prior to each sintering process, carefully
shake/mix the sintering pearls to uni-
formly distribute them.

▷ Using an appropriate implement or utensil, draw
a ring (or gap) around the edge of the bowl, in
order to reduce the layer of pearls there.
This will ensure that the sintering cover will
later be seated deep enough in the sintering
bowl.

▷ Position the unit to be sintered in the centre of
the pearls.
▷ Insert the sintering cover into the sintering
bowl.
