Application and Operation
E N
Before starting-up the furnace, it should
acclimate at the set-up location for 24
hours. Swift heating up in cold condition
can cause damage to the heating elements
(for example, burning-through).
During the first heating up, there may be
odour nuisance due to binding agent
fumes escaping from the insulation mate-
rial.
▷ Provide for thorough ventilation of the
furnace set-up location when heating up
for the first time.
DANGER:
Hot air at the outlet opening!
▷ Do not reach with your hand at or above the
outlet opening.
▷ Do not place objects on the furnace!
WARNING:
Danger of fire and explosion!
The furnace surfaces become very warm.
▷ Do not place objects on the furnace!
NOTE:
Insufficient sintering results due to faulty tem-
perature control!
▷ Prior to every process, check the thermoele-
ment for damage.

Function test
The individual functions, such as cooling and gas
flow, can be manually set and checked via the con-
troller.
A function test must be carried out before using
the furnace for production:
▷ Check the furnace's protective gas function
(see 6.1.1).
▷ Check the furnace's compressed-air cooling
(see 6.1.2).
▷ Perform the sintering program with a small test
piece of Ceramill Sintron (analogue to 6.2).
▷ Evaluate the sintering result with the Ceramill
Sintron sintering chart.
▷ When the sintering result is insufficient, check
the cause and correct the fault (check all hose
connections for proper seating and tightness
against leaks, check the Argovent components
for damage).
6.1.1
Checking the Furnace Function for the
Protective Gas
The furnace is factory-shipped with program 1
already pre-set.
After activating the sintering program with the
"start"key, the ball-shaped float in the gas manom-
eter (right-hand side of furnace) ascends to a flow
value of ~ 0.2. In the cooling phase of the program,
the float ascends to a value of ~ 0.9.
