TO REMOVE
BLOWER
CHUTE
1.
Graspblowerchute withone handand pull lock rod on mounting
bracketwith otherhand towardengineto release.Referto Figure
8 in the ASSEMBLY section.
2.
Removeblowerchutefrom overthe rim of the dischargeopening.
USING THE NOZZLE
VACUUM
1.
Placenozzle/hosevac leverin the top positionon the nozzleto
vacuumthroughnozzle.See Figure15.
2.
Thespringloaded pin mustbe in the first hole(closestto the end
of the tube)of the hoseadapterto operatethe nozzlevac.
3.
Placebothhandson top of the upper handleand fully lift the drive
controlagainstthe upperhandleto propel the unitoveryard.
4.
Use the speedcontrolto chooseeitherthe highor low speed.The
speedcontrolmay be movedeitherwhilethe unitis propellingor
beforeengagingthewheels.

IMPORTANT: M ovethe speedcontrolonlywhenthe engineis running.
Changingthe speedcontrolsettingwith the engineoff candamagethe
yardvacuum.
Yardwastesuchas leavesand pine needlescan be vacuumedup
throughthe nozzlefor shredding.After materialhas beenshredded
by theflail bladeson the impellerassembly,it will be discharged
intocatcherbag or throughblowerchute.Do notattemptto shredor
chipany materialotherthan vegetationfoundin a normalyard(i.e.
branches,leaves,twigs,etc.)Avoidfibrousplants suchas tomato
vinesor palmfronds untiltheyare thoroughlydriedout. Materialssuch
as stalksor heavybranchesup to 1-1/2"in diametermaybe fed into
the chipperchute.
Vac Lever
specifiedon the machineor in this manual.Personal i njuryor
to the machinecould result.
IMPORTANT: T heflail screenis locatedinsidethe housingin the
dischargearea. if the flail screenbecomesclogged, removeand clean
as instructedin the SERVICE& MAINTENANCE section. Forbest
performance, i t is alsoimportantto keepthe chipperbladesharp.
Do notat any time makeanyadjustmentswithoutfirststopping
engine and disconnecting spark plugwire.
USING THE HOSE ASSEMBLY
1.
Placenozzle/hosevac leverin the bottompositionon the nozzle
to redirectvacuumto the hoseassembly.See Figure16.
2.
Thespringloaded pin mustbe in the secondhole of the hose
adapterto operatethe hoseassembly.
3.
Unhookthe hosefrom upper handlebracketand graspthe hose
handleto guide whilevacuumingyardwastesuchas leavesor
pine needlesin hardto reachplaces.
