SHARPENING OR REPLACING CHIPPER
BLADE
NOTE:Beforetippingthe unit, emptythefuel tank by runningengine
untiltank isdry, and emptythe oil reservoiras describedinTo Drain
Oil.
1. Disconnectand groundthe spark plugwire.
2. Removebagassemblyor blowerchute.
3. Removethe three hexcap screwsholdingthe chipperchuteto
the upperhousing.See Figure23.
4. Removethe front hubcaps,flangelock nuts,front wheels,and
wavewashersthat attachto the pivotarm assemblies.See Figure
24.
5. Removethe shoulderscrews,thrustwashers,and bell washers
that go throughthe pivotarmsto the front supportbrace.The front
supportbraceand lock nut can be removedat this time as well.
6. Removethe four screwson the upperhousingthat securethe
nozzlecover.See Figure25.
