MAINTENANCE
Maintenance, servicing and repair must only be carried out by properly trained
personnel.
Use of unapproved parts or unauthorised modification could result in danger to life or
health and can invalidate any warranty.
WHAT
General inspection
Cleaning
Disassemble by removing the filters, head straps and other parts (see figs 7, 8 and 9).
Respirator components, especially exhalation and inhalation valves should be discarded
and replaced with new parts when damaged.
Inhalation and exhalation valves should be changed at least every two years.
If disposal of parts is required this should be undertaken in accordance with local health
and safety, and environmental regulations.
See "PREPARATION FOR USE – Inspection" before reuse.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION

The equipment should be stored in the packaging provided in dry, clean conditions away
from direct sunlight, sources of high temperature, petrol and solvent vapours.
Do not store outside the temperature range -10°C to +50°C or with humidity
above 90 %.
When stored as stated, the expected shelf life of the facepieces is 5 years from the date
of manufacture.
The date of manufacture can be established by
examining the date grid on the inside of the
facepiece as shown.
Each dot in the box represents a
quarter (i.e. 3 months) of the year highlighted.
The example shows 1st quarter
2002 (i.e. 01/01/02 – 31/03/02).
The head harness assembly and filter holder are marked with a date wheel indicating the
month and year of manufacture and the exhalation valve is marked with a year of
manufacture.
The original packaging is suitable for transporting the product throughout the European
Economic Community.
