inspecttheheaterandtoreplaceanypartofthecontrol

Whenusedwithoutadequatecombustionand
ventilationair,thisheatermaygiveoffexcessive
CARBONMONOXIDE,anodorless,poisonousgas.

Somepeople-pregnantwomen,personswithheart
orlungdisease,anemia,thoseundertheinfluenceof
alcohol,thoseathighaltitudes-aremoreaffectedby

Whenheaterisplacedontheground,makesure
thegroundislevelandkeepanyobjectsatleast24

GENERAL INFORMATION:
•
Thisheaterissafeforindooruseinsmallrecreational
enclosures,havingmeansforprovidingcombustionair
andventilation,suchasenclosedporches,cabins,fishing
huts,trailers,tenttrailers,tents,truckcapsandvans.
Itmaybeusedforemergencyindoorheatingwhen
connectedtoadisposable1lb.propanecylinderand
forindooruseincommercialenclosures,havingmeans
forprovidingcombustionairandventilation,suchas
constructiontrailersortemporaryworkenclosures.
Note:Theheatercanbeusedoutdoors,butmay
experiencenuisanceshutoffsduetocertainwind
conditions.
•
Whentheheateriscoldoratroomtemperature,it
willtakeafewminutesfortheburnertiletoturn
brightorange.Thisisnormalandtheheaterisworking
properly.Ifburnertileisvisiblyflaming,turnheateroff
andcallaqualifiedservicetechnician.
•
Whentheunitislit,thereshouldbeaboutaquarter
inch(1/4")borderaroundthetilethatwillnotturn
brightorange.Thisisnormal.
•
Whenoperatingtheheaterforthefirsttime,thetop
areaofthereflectormaydiscolor.Thisisalsonormal
andisnoreasonforconcern.
• When operating the heater at altitudes over 7,000
FT. above sea level, the unit may not burn as bright
as in lower altitudes. This is normal. At higher
altitudes, the heater may shut-off. If this happens,
provide fresh air, wait 5 minutes and re-light. Due to
local atmospheric conditions heater may not re-light.
•
Operatingtimewillbeapproximately5hoursona
one1lb.cylinder.DuetothepropertiesofLPgas,
runtimescanbesignificantlyreducedwhenoperating
continuouslyattemperaturesbelow20ºF.
•
Thisheaterisequippedwithatip-oversafetyswitch.
Nuisanceshut-downsmaybeexperiencediftheunit
isbumpedormoved.ifthisoccurssimplyrelightthe
heater.
•
Duetonaturaloperationofsmalltanks,condensation
maybuildupontankanddriponsurfaceunderheater.
Sometimesthiscondensationmayfreezeduetothe
extremecoldcausedwhenpropanevaporizes.Thisis
normalandnoreasonforalarm.
