U.S.Dept.ofTransportation(DOT).

Useonly16.4oz.(1lb.)disposablecylindersthatmate
withNo.600valveconnection.

Heaterandattachedcylindermustbeinanupright
positionduringoperation.
•
Screw1lb.disposableLP-gassupplycylinderclockwise
(frombottom)intoportableheateruntilhand-tightand
fitcylinderintostand.Donotusethreadsealantonthis
connection.
•
Checkcylinderconnectionforleakswithsoapywater
atthethreadedconnectionunderthedomedplastic
coverwherethecylinderscrewsintotheregulator.SEE

Depress"ON"buttontolightpilotflame(repeatuntil
pilotlights)andcontinuetoholdfor30-60seconds.
•
Afterlightingpilot,release"ON"buttontolightheater.
•
Toshutoffheater,pressthe"OFF"button.
•
CAUTION: Afterturningheateroff,wireguardwill
remainhot.Allowtothoroughlycoolbeforestoring.

Donotoperate,storeorremovecylindernear
flammableitemsorignitionsources.

MAINTENANCE:
Alwayskeeptheheaterareaclearandfreefrom
combustiblematerials,gasolineandotherflammable
vaporsandliquids.
Keeptheventareas(slotsinthebottomandtopofthe
heater)clearatalltimes.
Visuallyinspectthepilotflameandburnerperiodically
duringuse.Thepilotflameshouldbeblueincolor(not
yellow)andwillextendtothethermocouple.Theflamewill
surroundthethermocouplejustbelowthetip,seeFigure2.
Aslightyellowflamemayoccurwherethepilotflame
andmainburnerflamemeet.Theburnershouldbebright
orange(withaslightbluecoloraroundtheborder,ared-
orangehazethatisvisibleontheceramictileisacceptable)
andwithoutanoticeableflame.

Ablueflamethatrollsoutatthetopoftheceramictile
indicatesanaccumulationofdust,lintorspiderwebs
insidethehousingassemblyandmainburnerassembly.If
thepilotisyellowortheburnerhasanoticeableflame,
cleaningmayberequired.Usethefollowingprocedureto
inspectthecasingassemblyandmainburnerassembly.It
isnecessarytoperiodicallychecktheburnerorificeand
burnerventuritomakesurethattheyareclearofthings
suchasinsectnestsandspiderwebsthatmayaccumulate
overtime.Acloggedtubecanleadtoafire.
