8. Installation instructions

The PlasmaMade Airfilter type GUC1314 can be mounted on almost any exisiting and
new extractor hoods. It must comply with the following conditions:
• The hood must be suitable for recirculation (the baseboard, cabinet or soffit
must be fitted with an opening through which the filtered air can be vented
back into the room). We do not recommend these openings to be directed at
the wall or ceiling. Provide a gap of at least 500 mm in between.
• Set the electronic control of the hood to recirculation mode, if the control is
not available here than using the hood at position 1 or 2. If the engine capacity
is higher than 600 m3
• We recommend respecting a minimum distance from hob to bottom of
extractor unit (due to the heat production from the hob) of:
Induction/ceramic
Gas hob
Gas wok, 3.2 - > 6 kW
• A mains socket within a suitable distance (220 V, no earth needed).
• We recommend you to treat the steel parts and/or components in the inner
side of the hood against corrosion by moisture. This is often the case with
lower quality hoods that aren't built with galvanized or stainless steel.
Note: If the extractor unit is mounted at a smaller distance above the hob, the
PlasmaMade Airfilter's guarantee is invalidated.
