9 TROUBLE SHOOTING

Please contact your local Mastervolt Service Centre if you cannot correct a problem with the aid of the malfunction
table below. See www.Mastervolt.com for an extended list of Mastervolt Service Centres.
Failure
No display function.
No communication. The
MasterBus LED does not
illuminate.
The wrong language is
displayed.
AC Grid fail LED
illuminates, MasterBus
alarm.
Over voltage, over current,
or high frequency appears.
AC Grid fail LED
illuminates, MasterBus
alarm. Under voltage, low
frequency appears.

Possible cause
Display must be powered by MasterBus.
Only with AC available, the AC Power
Analyser powers.
Error in the wiring.
No terminating device placed at the ends
of the network.
MasterBus network is configured as a ring
network.
T-connections in the MasterBus network.
Wrong setting of the language at the AC
Power Analyser.
Wrong setting of the language at
displaying device.
AC voltage (current, frequency) is too high. Check AC voltage (current, frequency) in
High Voltage (Frequency) alarm setting is
too low.
Nominal voltage has not been set
correctly.
AC voltage (frequency) is too low.
Low voltage (frequency) alarm setting is
too high
Nominal voltage has not been set
correctly.
What to do
Make sure the balance between
consuming devices and powering devices
is OK.
Check the MasterBus cables.
Check if two terminating devices have
been installed (See section 4.3).
Ring networks are not allowed. Check the
network connections (Section 4.3).
Make sure that no T-connections have
been made in the network.
Adjust the language setting. See chapter
5, Configuration General.
Every connected device has its own
language setting. See user's manuals.
MasterBus monitoring
Check alarm levels in Configuration
If desirable, ask the installer to change the
nominal voltage setting.
Check AC voltage (current, frequency) in
MasterBus monitoring
Check alarm levels in Configuration
If desirable, ask the installer to change the
nominal voltage setting.
