ESSENTIAL
RULES,
FOR PROPER BABYWEARING
Right from the start, make your baby
familiar with the correct position:
anytime you take him in your arms,
grab him with one hand under his
neck or his shoulders, and the other
hand under his buttocks.
1.
Naturally, a newborn positions himself into
a frog-legged position. This squatting position
is the basis of all carries (front or back),
regardless of baby's age.
2.
For a correct support of baby's back, the
Evolu'Bulle must be perfectly adjusted.
For each carry, you will find tips on how to
optimize the carries for a unique comfort. The
width of the seat can be adjusted with the
snaps, the height of the carrier with zips. The
carrier is pretty tight: in front carries, baby
should remain tight against your chest when
you lean forward, in back carries, he should be
tight against your back at all times.
3.
Baby's head must never be covered with
fabric, and his airway must be clear at all times
(nose and mouth).
10
4.
The fabric should come all the way to baby's
ears if he's younger than 4 months old, in order
to properly support his head.
5.
Baby must be high enough to kiss.
Squatting position:
knees are higher than the
bum, the spine is C-shaped, the pelvis is tilted
and the legs are slightly spread. To preserve
this position, the fabric must always be widely
spread from knee to knee, supporting baby's
buttocks and thighs. The structured seams
allow a deep seating position.
Warning:
we do not recommend facing-
forward carries, which are particularly
uncomfortable in the Evolu'Bulle: baby's
position will not respect his physiology,
leaning against the adult can arch his back, he
will hang from the crotch, legs dangling (which
can disturb his bloodflow), and adjustments
would be impossible to make. Facing forward,
baby cannot get any comfort by cuddling
against the parent. If baby wants to turn his
head and look forward, we recommend back
carries which are particularly easy with the
Evolu'Bulle and will give him a wider field of
vision.
