CHAPTER 2.
TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION
2.1. TRANSPORT AND PACKAGING
When they leave the factory all GAR CONTINUOS LINE equipment are packed on a NON-REUSABLE
1100x800 mm PALLET. The equipment is strapped to the PALLET and this has some anti-movement strips that
secure the equipment, preventing it from slipping. In order to prevent dust from entering the equipment and
to protect it from friction and knocks, the packaging is completely stretch-wrapped. The front control plate
(fragile area) is suitably protected.
This is the type of packaging by means of 1200x800 mm EUROPALLET that must preferably be used for
transport to other destinations. (see Fig. 2B).
Fig. 2A - Transport of GAR CONTINUOS in
service.
So that the transport handle does not stand out, it must be mounted as indicated in figure 2B. The screw
and washer that will be used to later mount the handle in service will be placed in point A (Figure-2A), the
handle is secured to the equipment at point B, resting on a wheel.
Knocks and sudden movements must be avoided when transporting the equipment. In any case, the
equipment must be kept horizontal and the packaging protected from water.
WARNING: THE MOST FRAGILE PART OF THE EQUIPMENT IS THE FRONT CONTROL PLATE. WE
RECOMMEND PROTECTING THIS AREA DURING TRANSPORT TO OTHER DESTINATIONS.
Once it has reached its destination and is in service the handle must be mounted as shown in Figure 2A,
securing it at points A and B.

The equipment must preferably be raised by means of a
transpallet, for which the equipment must be secured to a
1200x800 mm EUROPALLET. If the equipment has to be
lifted to fit or remove the wheels the elevation eye-bolts
can be used (See Figure 3), it being sufficient to raise the
equipment 140 mm from the floor.
