Assembling the shock absorber

Guideline
Special socket (T14084)
–
Lubricate O-ring
Lubricant (T158) (
–
Push the outside fork tube upward.
–
Clamp the outside fork tube in the area of the lower triple
clamp.
Clamping stand (T1403S)

Mount and tighten screw cap

Final steps

Install the fork legs (see Owner's Manual).

Install the front wheel (see Owner's Manual).

Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand (see Owner's
Manual).
Preliminary work

Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand (see Owner's Manual).

Remove the shock absorber (see Owner's Manual).
–
Remove the spring (see repair manual).
Disassembling the damper
–
Make a note of the present state of rebound
pression damping
–
Open the adjusters of the rebound and compression dam-
ping completely.
