FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. ¿THE SUCTION VACUUM HEADS COULD WORK IN LOW SPEED (ECO) MODE?
The range of vacuum heads available is very large, and so the flow-pressure needs for each of them. In most of the cases
the vacuum head start-up needs to perform a balancing between the skimmers, suction and pool bottom inlet.
According to this, it is very likely that your vacuum head could work in lo-speed (ECO) mode, after performing a correct
balancing. However, if it could be not possible, the operation could be always done in high-speed (TURBO) condition.
2. ¿MY HEATING SYSTEM COULD WORK IN LOW-SPEED?
Generally yes. Most of the heat exchangers need a minimum flow of 6 m3/h to work properly. This minimal flow
rate is always assured (except in case of filters needing a backwash).
3. ¿MY CHEMICAL DOSING SYSTEM COULD WORK IN LOW SPEED?
Most of the chemical dosing systems need a minimal flow rate from 3 to 5 m3/h,. These flow rates can be achieved
in all the conditions.
4. ¿SHOULD I INSTALL AN SPECIFIC ELECTRICAL CABINET TO OPERATE THE DOUBLE-SPEED PUMP?
Yes. As the pump is capable to work in two different speeds, the electrical cabinet must be designed to decide in
which moment and for how long the pump should be stopped or in one of the speeds.
5. ¿IS IT NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION AND PIPING TO INSTALL THE DUAL-SPEED PUMP?
The fact of installing a double-speed pump does not involve any special dimensioning or any change in the installation design.
As the connection dimensions are the same, it is not necessary to do any change in the installation if you have a
Sprint, Victoria or Victoria plus pump already installed.
In case of having another pump, probably the hydraulic installation should be slightly changed I order to fit to the
double-speed pump connecting dimensions.
6. ¿CAN I INSTALL THE DOUBLE-SPEED PUMP IN AN INSTALLATION WITH A SYSTEM VRAC AUTOMATIC SELECTING VALVE?
Yes, but the following operation should be taken in mind.
The selection valves System VRAC automatically detect the need for a filter back wash
The presostate should be adjusted to the high-speed condition (TURBO).
Once the backwash need condition is achieved, the selecting valve will force the electrical cabinet to stop the pump.
To do so, the valve will have to be connected to the electrical cabinet according to the instruction manual. The wiring
should give the priority to the pump control timers.
After stopping, the valve will move to the programmed position and will let the pump to work again, until the
washing period is finished.
It is important to program at least one high-speed (TURBO) cycle per day, in order to let the filter do its maintenance
when needed.
