6.2 Heating up cleaning liquid
Procedure
1. Switch on the On/off switch (Fig. 4.10.1); the blue LED on the control panel lights up
2. Turn the temperature control to set the desired cleaning temperature (Fig. 4.10.1). The heating process starts; when the yellow
LED goes out, the desired cleaning temperature has been reached. Once the preset temperature has been reached, the heating is turned off automatically
via the thermostat.
The ultrasonic energy can heat up the cleaning liquid to a hotter temperature than the preset temperature. In particular, preset
temperatures in the lower range (e.g. 30°C or 40°C) can easily be exceeded.
6.3 Degassing cleaning liquid
Newly prepared cleaning liquid is saturated with air which hinders the cleaning effect of the ultrasound. These microscopic air inclusions can be eliminated
from the liquid by exposing the liquid to ultrasound for several minutes before the cleaning process.
Procedure
1. Use the Time switch (1min. to ∞-min.)(Fig. 4.10.1) to switch on the ultrasound. Set the Function switch
to Degas.
2. Use the Frequency switch (Fig. 4.10.1) to select the frequency 28 kHz. After approx. 5 to 10 minutes, the cleaning liquid has been degassed.
This process can also be performed while heating up the ultrasonic bath.
