USER WARNINGS
Please carefully read the warnings contained in these instructions, as they
provide important direction for the safe installation, usage and maintenance
of the equipment. Keep this manual safe for future consultation.
• Whenever you use the machine, first check the mechanical integrity of all
components.
The body of the equipment, the water tank cover, the water tank and the capsule
holder unit should not be cracked or broken in any way.
• The power cable must not exhibit any breaks or cuts.
Should you note any such defects in the machine you must remove the plug from the
socket quickly and take the equipment to an authorised reseller to carry out such
checks as are necessary.
• Check whether the circuit protection breaker – to which the coffee machine should
be connected – is at least 6a.
• Do not leave the electric power cable within the reach of children.
• Before inserting the plug in the socket, confirm that the ON/OFF button is in the OFF
position – See MaCHine COnTROLS (Page 50) for further detail.
• Before connecting the equipment to the mains electrical supply, check that the power
supply is suitable for the machine.
• This equipment must be connected to an earthed socket.
• Equipment safety is assured only when the units is connected to an efficient earthing
installation as indicated by local safety standards.
Have this important requirement checked by a qualified technician.
The manufacturer may not be responsible for any damage caused owing to a lack of
an earthing connection.
• Before using the equipment, remove any protective films from the equipment body
walls.
• During first time use it may be apparent that the equipment emits an odour.
This is harmless, is caused by the new insulation materials and will pass after a few
minutes.
